Fighting against Cigarette Butt Litter

Free Butt Buckets!

Keep America Beautiful conducted a national litter study, and they determined the #1 littered item is a cigarette butt! (KAB.ORG) What can we do together to help?

The Boone County Solid Waste Management District wants to partner with Boone County business owners to place butt buckets in areas of need.

The District will provide a local business owner with one butt bucket, free of charge, while supplies last ($170 value). The butt bucket is made in the USA by Rubbermaid from heavy-duty plastic with a metal insert.

After the District delivers the butt bucket to your site, the business owner accepts ownership of the butt bucket regarding butt disposal and maintenance.
